Materials Needed: Digital camera (point and shoot or SLR), camera manual, tripod (optional, but recommended; HINT: a bag of dried beans makes a great substitute tripod!!)

Brush off your digital camera and prepare to take your best shots! Mystified by the settings and buttons on your digital camera? Do you point your camera at vivid sunsets.and end up with faded, washed-out images? Maybe you know what you see but can't seem to get your camera to agree! If so, this one-day, beginner-level class is for you! We'll learn about basic photo settings (white balance, ISO speed, shutter speed and aperture), and learn through hands-on class activities how to manipulate these settings on YOUR camera so that you can have greater control over your images, whether foliage, kids at play, landscapes, or flowing water. *Class will be a combination of indoor and outdoor learning (weather permitting), so come prepared for variable weather!

PHOTO "WALK-SHOPS"

Got cabin fever and a digital camera? Do you long to know more about the critters and wildflowers right in our backyard in Plymouth AND how to better capture them on camera? This one-day, beginner- to intermediate-level class is for you. Part photo lesson, part nature walk--100% relaxing! We’ll spend some time in the gallery reviewing basic photo settings (white balance, ISO speed, shutter speed and aperture), and learn--through hands-on class activities--how to manipulate these settings on YOUR camera so that you can have greater control over your images. We’ll then stretch our legs and travel (by foot or car) to a local natural area to find, learn about, and photograph whatever's blooming in the woods. Come prepared to walk on uneven, possibly muddy terrain--and dress for classic New England seasonal weather (that could mean bugs, or rain, or wind, or even cold, depending on the time of year!).
