A ribbon of fog wrapped along the talus field of the Cannon Cliffs is all that remained of a dense fog.
Cannon Cliff forms the eastern flank of Cannon Mountain, and rock climbers frequently scale the mile-long face. The prominent fold toward the left side of the cliff is the Whitney-Gilman Ridge, one of the most celebrated routes of New Hampshire climbing.
