From Vastness

  • Fall comes to the Beebe River area, Sandwich, NH.
  • A calm April sunrise warms Squam Lake.
  • Finding balance in Smarts Brook, Thornton, NH. I've always loved finding the work of the phantom rock balancers, and the leaf (and hiding spider!) were two bonus details when I got in place to take this photo.
  • A day of pouring rain gave way to an amazing foggy sunset--one of the best I've ever seen. It's a joy when light transforms the same old place you pass every day into an entirely new experience. Campton, NH.
  • All colors of the spectrum in one photo. King Ravine Trail, Mount Adams.
  • Chocorua Lake, perfectly calm in a glory of fog.
  • The seasons march onward at the base of Mount Liberty, at the southern end of Franconia Notch, and the mountains begin to wear their winter caps.
  • Cannon Cliff, painted orange and yellow for the fall. Climbers flock to this mile-long cliff in Franconia Notch.
  • Kickin' it Monet-style at Quincy Bog in Rumney, NH. It's just like a painting!
  • Chocorua Lake, perfectly calm in the autumn fog.
  • The Presidential Range is aglow with sunset on a cold, cold January day...it's not just cold air that inspires breathlessness.
  • Having a forest moment...there's something magical about being in a woodsy hug: the light is perfect, the soothing "ssssssssssss" of snow sliding from boughs. And, look--a rainbow! Plymouth, NH.
